Tottenham are close to signing Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth, according to ESPN.
The 19-year-old, who caught the eye for Argentina at the Under-20 World Cup last month, is apparently valued at £15 million by his current club.
But Spurs don’t want to pay any more than £10 million for the centre-back.
Reliable Tottenham journalist Dan Kilpatrick claims Estudiantes president Juan Sebastian Veron has travelled to London for talks with Spurs, and the club is confident a deal will be completed soon.
Below you can watch a video of Foyth’s individual highlights for Argentina Under-20s against England last month.
Tottenham Hotspur should
consider Anthony Martial and
Eric Dier swap deal
Tottenham can add a quality defender or a
midfielder by using the cash obtained from Dier’s
transfer and replenish the void.
It won’t be an ideal scenario, no doubt, but if the
deal helps Spurs in landing Martial, then Dier
could be worth sacrificing.
He chose united before us
Why bother now.
