Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth is eager to join Tottenham instead of Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in Argentina.
Spurs appeared to be set to sign the 19-year-old centre-back earlier this month before PSG made a last minute move.
Reports suggested that the Ligue 1 giants had outbid Tottenham and were closing in on a deal for Foyth.
But nothing has materialised since, and a new story has provoked further speculation about the teenager’s next move.
According to Argentinian newspaper El Dia, Foyth believes he will be given more opportunities in the first team at Spurs that we would at PSG.
For that reason, the Argentine would rather join Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Before that happens, however, Tottenham will have to agree a new fee with Estudiantes. An offer had reportedly been accepted before PSG came in with a bigger bid.
If there’s any truth to El Dia’s story, another Spurs offer is likely to be made in the near future.
