The vice-chairman of Trabzonspor, Gencaga Meric, has claimed the Turkish club have made an offer to take Moussa Sissoko on loan and that the player wants a deal to happen.
According to Meric, Spurs are eager to sell Sissoko but Trabzonspor are only keen on a loan deal.
Meric told Turkish-Futbol: “Sissoko is keen on joining, we have spoken with him and talks went well.
“We have yet to convince Tottenham or their manager. Tottenham want to recoup most of what they invested in Sissoko but we want him on loan.
“We have made our offer and are waiting for a decision.”
Sissoko endured a difficult first season at White Hart Lane following his £30 million move from Newcastle United last summer.
The Frenchman impressed in a friendly victory against Juventus on Saturday, hitting the post in a 2-0 win.
