Marseille are interested in signing Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen, according to reports in France.
Janssen endured a difficult first season in England, scoring just twice in the Premier League and failing to nail down a place in Spurs’ starting line-up.
French publication L’Equipe claims Marseille could move for Janssen if they miss out on their number one striker target, Inter Milan’s Stevan Jovetic.
It doesn’t look like Tottenham are going to sign a striker before the transfer deadline, so letting Janssen leave would be risky at this stage.
The Mirror has followed up on the story, but they might just be relaying L’Equipe’s report.
The Dutchman scored one goal in pre-season, converting Georges-Kevin N’Koudou’s cross from close range against Roma.
