Tottenham put in a superb team performance in their 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Debutant Serge Aurier enjoyed a particularly impressive evening, as did Christian Eriksen. Both players were awarded 8 out of 10 in our player ratings.
Their terrific displays were encapsulated by one moment. When Aurier found himself trapped in the corner by Dortmund’s high press, he and Eriksen somehow found their way out with a brilliant moment of improvisation.

Aurier looked quick, strong and confident throughout his debut. He produced one remarkable piece of defending in which he appeared to duck and allow the ball to gluide over himself in order to start a breakaway.

New Boys have a Definite impact on The Team. We can Build from this. #COYS
Remarkably skills indeed and a fabulous result against a still strong BVB. Just a shame about Verts sending off, but he might only miss the APOEL away game. One consideration is that Dortmund might takes points from Real Madrid and we might not, thus last night’s result is not as significant as it currently feels. Let’s be as positive as Harry always is and believe we’re in the driving seat for second place in the ‘group of death’. And spare a though for APOEL when they saw the draw!
Surely being positive would mean believing that we can win the group. That is exactly how Harry, Poch and the whole squad will be believing.
