Harry Kane has been included on the 30-man shortlist for the 2017 Ballon d’Or award.
The annual prize, which has been dominated by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in recent years, is awarded to the world’s best player.
Kane has spoken of his ambition to one day win the award. Although he will be a long shot this year, just making the shortlist is a huge achievement for the Tottenham striker.
At the time of writing, only 15 names from the 30-man list have been announced. Kane is the only Spurs player among those 15.
Other Premier League nominees include Philippe Coutinho, David De Gea, N’Golo Kante and Kevin de Bruyne.
