Tottenham left the Bernabeu with a point following an impressive display in their 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
Spurs took the lead midway through the first half when Raphael Varane turned Serge Aurier’s cross into his own goal.
Aurier then fouled Toni Kroos in the penalty area just before half-time, and Cristiano Ronaldo inevitably equalised from the spot.
Both sides had chances to win the game in the second half. Real Madrid came close through Karim Benzema – his point blank header was somhow saved by the feet of Hugo Lloris.
