According to reports in Spain, Barcelona director Robert Fernandez was at Wembley on Sunday to see Tottenham thrash Liverpool 4-1.
Spurs fans can relax. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claims Fernandez was there to watch Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona are apparently set to make another move for the Liverpool midfielder after failing with countless bids in the summer.
However, the report also suggests Fernandez was able to scout Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane during the game.
Again though, I wouldn’t say there is anything to worry about here.
The top clubs will obviously be watching the world’s in-form players. Most of Tottenham’s stars are tied down to long-term contracts and none of them have pushed for a move, unlike Coutinho.
This is a bit of a nothing story but there are likely to be plenty of similar ones coming out of Spain all season, so get used to it.
Tottenham’s next game at Wembley is against West Ham in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
he must have been there for the Liverpool center-half i hear he will be for-sale soon
