West Ham came from two goals down to beat Tottenham 3-2 at Wembley in the EFL Cup.
Spurs breezed past the visitors in the first half and led 2-0 going into the break thanks to goals from Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli.
But the hosts were poor in the second half, conceding two Andre Ayew goals in five minutes before Angelo Ogbonna headed in a winner.
“We showed a lack of aggression, everything we were doing in the first half,” said Mauricio Pochettino after the game.
“You can’t lose focus. I’m disappointed. In football sometimes you are in the sky after Real and Liverpool.
“I understand it’s not easy to play this type of competition if you rotate. That’s my responsibility.”
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said of Tottenham: “I can’t remember the last time they let in three goals.
“Maybe they thought job done. Maybe that happened a bit, but nothing can take 1% from our guys. From my point of view we won it, not them losing it.”
Will we see a reaction from Spurs against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday?
Llorente or Jannsen have we made a mistake.
Llorente or Hansen have we made a mistake.
Most boring 5 goal game i’ve ever watched.
