Tottenham are interested in signing Real Betis defender German Pezzella, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Tuttosport claims Spurs face competition for the 26-year-old centre-back from Atletico Madrid.
Pezzella, who made his international debut for Argentina last week, is currently on loan at Serie A club Fiorentina – they have an option to sign him permanently for £9 million.
However, the defender could reject a move to Italy if there are serious offers from Tottenham and Atletico.
Spurs are already relatively well stocked at centre-back, although Toby Alderweireld’s ongoing contract saga could eventually force them into the market.
