Manchester United have have been boosted by Danny Rose’s latest omission from Tottenham’s matchday squad, according to The Manchester Evening News.
Rose has been been left out of Spurs’ squad for the last two Premier League matches against Arsenal and West Brom.
And The Manchester Evening News believes Manchester United are becoming increasingly confident they can lure the left-back to Old Trafford.
Mauricio Pochettino regularly rotates his full-backs and has suggested Rose was omitted in a bid to rebuild fitness following a long injury layoff.
Rose played 90 minutes against Borussia Dortmund last week, so it is a bit strange he wasn’t even on the bench at the weekend.
The report in question is merely speculating at this stage, and I think Rose will almost certainly remain a Tottenham player until the end of the season when his future will be assessed.
There’s a good chance the 27-year-old will start against Leicester on Tuesday night if Pochettino carries on rotating him and Ben Davies.
