Harry Kane was voted the tenth best player in the world in the final Ballon d’Or rankings.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the award for the fifth time. Lionel Messi was second and Neymar third.

The six other players ranked higher than Kane were Gianluigi Buffon, Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos, Kylian Mbappe, N’Golo Kante and Robert Lewandowski.

Kane’s final position is demonstrative of his rise over the last year. The Tottenham striker has scored 48 goals in 47 appearances for club and country in 2017 so far.

Edinson Cavani, Isco, Luis Suarez and Kevin De Bruyne were among the stars to miss out on a place in the top ten because of Kane’s inclusion.

What do you think? Does the 24-year-old deserve to be in the top ten? Should he be even higher? Let us know in the comments.
