There is a “growing belief” at Manchester United that a deal for Danny Rose could be too difficult to complete in January, according to The Independent.
United are apparently eyeing Juventus left-back Alex Sandro instead as they are wary of potentially tough negotiations for Rose with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
The report cites United’s summer pursuit of Eric Dier, which was a non-starter because of Levy.
Journalist Miguel Delaney also suggests Manchester City could move for Rose if United decide not to.
I don’t think there’s any chance Rose will leave Spurs in January, but it will be interesting to see where this story goes next summer.
