Tottenham have drawn Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Spurs topped their group, finishing above Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund with more points than any other side in the competition.
Juventus were the most difficult opponent Tottenham could have drawn, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be confident of taking on the Serie A champions.
Spurs were involved in memorable games against Italian sides back in 2010/11, beating both Inter and AC Milan in the Champions League.
Remember what happened the last time we played against an Italian team in the Champions League. ?

On top of that, Tottenham beat Juventus 2-0 in a pre-season friendly at Wembley back in August.
Here’s how the fans reacted to the draw on Twitter.

Juventus. Not one of the teams I wanted but bring it on…#COYS

Happy with Juventus. Seem to get up for the bigger teams. No point playing in this if you don’t want to play the best.

Juventus vs. Spurs. Another glory tie – it doesn’t get much bigger than this. #coys

A real glamour tie for Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League up against Juventus and just like Real Madrid, Wembley will be rocking, the perfect draw for us! #COYS#THFC

Delighted with this. We’ve beaten the European champions and knocked Borussia Dortmund out of the group already. Poch will get them up for this. Bring it on! #COYS

I’ll never understand fans moaning at getting ‘a tough draw’ in THE LAST 16 OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Who were you expecting to get, Fleetwood Town? #UCLdraw

A stadium built like a modern White Hart Lane? Big mistake, @juventusfc pic.twitter.com/19rhi4Je49

If Alderweireld and Wanyama are both back for the Juventus ties, I’d really fancy our chances of qualifying much more.

if we are going to win the thing then we must face the best no worries COYS
Well, if we are going to win it we will have done it the hard way 🙂
There are no easy ties at this stage of the CL, but we seem to up our game against the `best`, so Spurs will have no pressure as underdogs for this round, bring it on. I can`t understand so many so called Spurs fans, commenting, “that`s it we`re out” etc. Short memories, probably the same group of `fans` who on seeing the group stage said, “that`s it, the group of death, we`re going out!” Get a grip FFS, we are the mighty Spurs !
