Mauricio Pochettino says he will help Dele Alli to rediscover his best form after a string of poor performances for Tottenham.

The 21-year-old hasn’t scored since Spurs’ historic Champions League victory over Real Madrid in early November.

He was ineffective again in Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Manchester City, and he should have seen red for a dangerous lunge on Kevin De Bruyne in the second half.

“I am not going now to talk about individual players,” Pochettino said after the game. “You can assess, people can assess. I’m going to say what I need to do and try to help him and help everyone.” (Quotes via The Telegraph.)

It’s worth noting Alli has scored seven goals and provided six assists in all competitions this season. Still, his recent displays have been far from impressive.

  1. A player who was overhyped, because of his Palace goal and for his rapid transition from MK Dons to Spurs first team.

In reality, he can get himself into great positions and score goals. Apart from that, he is very average.

  2. It’s because he is a marked man now. No team will allow him space and time to shine . It’s others team members jobs to capitalize but sadly the great dane went Mia!
