Chris Powell claims Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha would be an ideal signing for either Tottenham or Arsenal.

Speaking on ‘The Totally Football Show’, Powell confirmed he is currently working as a scout for his boyhood club Spurs on an ad hoc basis.

Zaha has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal in recent weeks after an impressive start to the season for Palace.

But Powell suggests the former Manchester United winger would only suit two of those clubs.

“I can’t see him at the two Manchester City, I can’t see him at a Chelsea, I can’t see him at Liverpool. So it has to be Arsenal or Spurs,” Powell said (via HITC).

“But I can’t see them paying £50m, £60m – so I can only see him staying [in January].”

Indeed, Zaha looks unlikely to leave Selhurst Park in January with The Independent reporting Palace are adamant the 25-year-old isn’t for sale.

There could be an interesting race for his signature next summer, though.
