Tottenham have made contact with Barcelona regarding a potential deal for Luis Suarez, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claims Mauricio Pochettino has identified Suarez as a possible replacement for Harry Kane, who has been linked with Real Madrid, and that Barcelona are willing to let Suarez go if they can sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
The report seems very speculative to me. For one, Kane is unlikely to leave Spurs next summer, so the club won’t be splashing huge amounts of money on another striker.
On top of that, Tottenham wouldn’t be able to afford Suarez’s wages. Nothing to see here.
