Danny Rose’s future is up in the air if reports in Italy are to be believed.
The Tottenham defender has been linked with a move to Manchester United ever since he gave a controversial interview back in August in which he appeared to criticise his current employers.
Rose missed the beginning of the season with a knee injury that has caused him problems against recently – although Mauricio Pochettino says it is only a small issue.
Manchester United had been expected to move for him in January according to various reports, but Football Italia now claims Jose Mourinho has turned his attentions to Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam.
Football Italia cites reports in Italy that suggest Napoli are closing in on the signing of Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo – an alleged Spurs target – which will free up United to sign Ghoulam.
If all of that happens, it’s unlikely Rose will be leaving Tottenham this month. Regardless of the business other clubs do, I think the 27-year-old will stay put anyway.
