Manchester United are considering a move for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney as an alternative to Danny Rose, according to The Mirror.

Rose has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford for some time now, but The Mirror claims Manchester United have “balked at Tottenham’s £50 million valuation of the England international.”

Instead the Red Devils are apparently keen on £25m-rated Tierney, who has been linked with Spurs in the past.

If true, Rose will almost certainly remain a Tottenham player this month – I think he will stay regardless of Tierney’s future.

Rose is currently sidelined with another knee injury, the extent of which is still unclear.

  1. This is garbage. But if Danny Rose is going for 50 million (what idiot would pay this?), then Tierney is worth 75 million. EPL prices, the most overrated league in the world.

    • Like it or not John its a huge league, overrated yes, but arguably still the strongest and we cant compare a top player there to a top player in the SPL, KT is a very fine player but Rose has been very good for a long spell at a much higher level. To say Tierney is worth more than Rose has no logical basis. If KT is to go Id like him to go to a more exciting team than United, or if it is to be united, then hopefully when Jose and his boring style have departed that club
