Tottenham target Andre Gomes has asked to leave Barcelona in January, according to reports in Spain.
The midfielder was believed to be close to joining Spurslast summer, but a deadline day deal fell through at the last minute.
However, Spanish outlet Sport now claims the 24-year-old has asked Barcelona manager Ernesto Valderde to let him leave the club this month.
The report suggests Valverde wants Gomes to stay, but the player is worried about his chances of being included in Portugal’s World Cup squad.
