Mauricio Pochettino has insisted Cameron Carter-Vickers has a future at Tottenham after the defender was sent out on loan for the second time this season on Friday.
Carter-Vickers returned from a spell with Sheffield United only to be sent straight back to the Championship with Ipswich Town.
“After two years training with us, he deserves to play. He needs to build his career. We’re thinking one day he can come back and have success at Tottenham,” said Pochettino. (Via Ham&High.)
The Spurs boss also revealed a decision is yet to be made on whether Josh Onomah will be recalled from his loan at Aston Villa.
“Josh still continues there but we still have a week or 10 days to decide if he stays or we bring him back here.”
I personally don’t think either player has a long-term future at Tottenham, but I’d love to be proven wrong.
