Tottenham are interested in appointing Juventus Director of Sport Fabio Paratici, according to reports in Italy.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato (via Sport Witness) claims Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a fan of the way Paratici has handled Juventus’ transfer business over the last few years.

The report suggests Levy would offer Paratici full control over the club’s transfers – that’s hard to believe unless Paratici handles his business in a similar manner to Levy, who is sometimes criticised for showing a lack of ambition in the market.

I’m not sure how credible this story is, but perhaps Levy is keen to appoint somebody to oversee transfers while his hands are full during the new stadium’s transitional phase.
