Mousa Dembele may have been Tottenham’s unsung hero against Manchester United at Wembley, but Christian Eriksen was undeniably the standout performer on the night.
The Dane opened the scoring after just ten seconds with a neat finish and never looked back.
He missed the last two games through illness and Spurs looked devoid of creativity – Wednesday was the polar opposite.
Eriksen displayed all of his best attributes in a superb display. His passing was accurate and incisive, he found opening after opening, created a number of chances and even got on the scoresheet.
