Tottenham target Malcom has revealed he wanted to leave Bordeaux in January and a summer exit is likely.
The Brazilian winger is also wanted by Arsenal, but Spurs emerged as favourites to sign him last month.
“It’s my dream to progress in my career,” he told Telefoot (via the Independent).
“I spoke to the president, he told me that he knew it was my dream, but that he needed me.
“I told him he could count on me until the end of the season, I will do everything to help Bordeaux finish in the top six in Ligue 1.”
Tottenham ended up signing Lucas Moura from PSG instead, so it is up for debate whether they will pursue Malcom again in the summer.
