Tottenham face Rochdale in their fifth round FA Cup replay at Wembley on Wednesday night, and Mauricio Pochettino has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

The sides drew 2-2 in the original tie. Spurs led until late on thanks to goals from Lucas Moura and Harry Kane, but Rochdale snatched a draw at the death to earn a replay.

Pochettino will be without Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld – the duo remain sidelined after picking up injuries prior to Sunday’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

As a result, Eric Dier is likely to keep his place at centre-back, partnering Juan Foyth in the heart of the defence.

Victor Wanyama could earn a second successive start, although Pochettino may not feel the need for a dedicated holding midfielder; he might opt for Erik Lamela in a No.10 role instead.

Heung-Min Son will almost certainly return to the starting line-up after his impressive cameo at Selhurst Park, with Moura on the opposite wing.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Rochdale – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Lamela, not Son. Son needs to prove nothing. Lamela does, We need to rest on for big games. Use Lamela against lower levels – just right for him.

  2. Son has to play, we need a goal scorer on from the set go. Llorente still has to prove that he can finish in England. Lamela has not shown confidence since his return.
Hope Aurier doesn’t play, he is a waste of space, could be gone after this season..

  3. If we really want to win a trophy this season why are we still taking chances.
Pick a side that we know will see us through to the semi finals and not take risks with the likes of Lamela, Sissoko and Liorente

  4. If this is the line up it screams lack of grit and a lot of mistakes.

If I was in Poch’s position I’d play

    Lloris
    Trippier
    Sanchez
    Dier-by default
    Rose
    Lamela
    Dembele
    Winks
    Eriksen
    Alli
    Llorente

With Son and Moura playing second half instead of Alli and Eriksen hopefully 3-0 Up already

  5. I would play Llorente at left back,,, left back in the changing rooms cleaning the loo’s he’s probably better at that than scoring goals

  6. Why the hell don’t he put the big guns out first half get the tie done, then rest them instead of struggling to get a result.
Drives me mad, these guys are supposed to be super fit, they should earn there money.
If we go out we will be the laughing stock.
