There has been no official update on Harry Kane’s ankle injury since he limped off during Tottenham’s Premier League win over Bournemouth on Sunday.
Spurs came from a goal down to win 4-1 at the Vitality Stadium thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Serge Aurier either side of a Son Heung-min double.
The result was somewhat marred by Kane’s injury – the striker was forced off following a clash with Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic midway through the first half.
The Guardian claims Kane is yet to undergo a scan to discover the extent of the damage to his ankle due to swelling.
A contrasting report in the Mirror suggests Tottenham already fear they will be without the 24-year-old for six weeks.
Kane was out for two spells last season with injuries to same ankle, initially missing six weeks of action followed by a four-week lay-off later in the campaign.
Spurs fans will be hoping the Mirror‘s report is just speculation, but they will also be preparing for the worst.
Thankfully, Son is in sensational form having scored seven goals in his last four appearances – he’s likely to start through the middle at Swansea on Saturday.
