Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are all “pushing hard” to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Bale left Spurs in 2013 after making 203 appearances and scoring 55 goals, 26 of which came in his final season at White Hart Lane.

He has won the Champions League three times and La Liga once during his time at Madrid, but the Welshman is regularly linked with a return to England.

Manchester United were believed to be interested before he left Tottenham, but Bale only had eyes for Madrid.

The media in Spain seem convinced the 28-year-old will leave the La Liga champions this summer, with a return to the Premier League almost certain.

Last week, a report suggested Bale would refer to re-join Spurs over Manchester United.

And now, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims Tottenham, United and Chelsea are all attempting to sign the former Southampton man.

Bale became the Wales national team’s all-time leading goalscorer with a hat-trick against China on Thursday.

The last couple of years of his career have been blighted by injuries, but he still shows glimpses of his true quality when given the opportunity to do so.

For now, all of the reports coming out of Spain are mere speculation. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bale return to England in the summer.
