Conflicting reports have emerged regarding the fitness of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Spurs will open up an eight-point gap on Chelsea with a win on Sunday, putting themselves in pole position for a top-four finish.
Alternatively, the Blues could close the gap to just two points, and their best chance of doing that involves preventing Tottenham from scoring.
If certain reports are to be believed, Chelsea’s task could be a difficult one – Courtois is an injury doubt after dropping out of the Belgium squad with a hamstring injury, according to the London Evening Standard.
However, reliable Belgian football journalist Kristof Terreur claims Courtois is expected to be available on Sunday, and his absence from the Belgium squad is just a precaution.

Of course, nothing is absolutely certain; the Chelsea stopper could fail to recover in time, meaning Antonio Conte may to turn to 36-year-old Willy Caballero.
That wil certainly increase Spurs’ chances of leaving Stamford Bridge with all three points. At this stage, however, is seems Courtois will play.
