Tottenham are willing to meet Benfica’s £52 million asking price for winger Andrija Zivkovic, according to reports in Portugal.

Zivkovic joined Benfica from FK Partizan in 2016 and has apparently been watched by the likes of Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks.

The 21-year-old has made nine appearances for the Serbian national team since 2013.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola (via TEAMtalk), Tottenham have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature – although Liverpool still hold a strong interest.

Earlier this week, reports suggested Pochettino will be given £120 million to spend on new recruits this summer, and part of that transfer kitty will go on a new attacker.

However, it’s difficult to see Spurs spending almost half of it on one player.

Zivkovic has a £52 million release clause in his contract, and that’s what Tottenham will have to pay unless Benfica are willing to negotiate a lower price.

Spurs have also been linked with Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, but the former Manchester United winger claims he is likely to stay at Selhurst Park.

Expect plenty more potential targets to emerge over the summer.
