Tottenham are interested in signing four Portugal internationals this summer, according to reports. And no, Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t one of them – sorry to disappoint.

Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes has been on Spurs’ radar for some time now. Reports in Spain continue to link the 24-year-old with a move to north London.

In addition to Gomes, the Mirror believes Tottenham are interested in three other Portugal internationals: Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins, Southampton right-back Cedric Soares and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

Martins, 22, is believed to be a back-up option for Wilfried Zaha is Spurs can’t lure the Crystal Palace star.

Soares, 26, is expected to leave Southampton if the south coast side are relegated to the Championship.

And Neves, 21, is attracting plenty of interest after an impressive debut season for promoted Wolves.

Neves in particular would be a welcome addition to the squad, particularly if Mousa Dembele leaves Tottenham at the end of the season.

I can only see if Soares arriving if either Kieran Trippier or Serge Aurier are forced out this summer, which is unlikely.

Martins is certainly one to keep an eye on given that Spurs will have a hard time striking a deal for Zaha.
