Tottenham will listen to offers for Serge Aurier and Erik Lamela this summer, according to Spurs journalist Dan Kilpatrick.
Mauricio Pochettino is set to reshape his squad this summer, selling a number of players in order to raise funds for new recruits.
Writing in a transfer blog for ESPN, Kilpatrick claims Tottenham will sell Toby Alderweireld and listen to offers for Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose, Fernando Llorente and and Moussa Sissiko.
Among that list there aren’t really any surprising names – Alderweireld, Dembele and Rose have been linked with exits for some time, while Llorente and Sissoko have been below par this season.
But Kilpatrick suggests the club will also hear out offers for Aurier and Lamela, which is a bit more unexpected.
Aurier only arrived last summer, and while his performances haven’t been ideal, the 25-year-old may have simply needed a season to settle in the Premier League.
Lamela has struggled with injuries over the last couple of years, but he hit form towards the end of the campaign, scoring twice on the final day against Leicester City.
Kilpatrick, who is usually reliable when it comes to transfer stories, says Pochettino still believes Aurier, Lamela and Sissoko are useful squad players, so there is a chance all three will stay.
Aurier, like any player with poch, cant be judged until he has a pre season. Saying that, poch may have just went off him. Really would be gutted if we lost lamella, I still think theres a top player there.
Delighted if Spurs can offload Aurier – every game he looks as if he will get himself sent off or concede a penalty,
I think we should give Aurier at least one more season. He’s only been here a year. He’s got plenty of potential just give him time. I still don’t think Spurs should have signed him but now that they’ve got him they should stand by their player. A completely different situation to Llorente. Another player Spurs shouldn’t have brought in. He’s an aging and out of form striker at a club that need someone who will come in and immediately make an impact alongside Harry Kane.
I hope they keep Lamela. He made major surgery on both his hips, people forget how hard of an injury that is to recover from. And granted he’s come into form at the end of the season but he’s still a player worth holding onto. When he’s in form he’s a stellar player
Not sure I agree with your comment (and what seems to be the general conclusion) about Llorente. I don’t think he was an altogether bad purchase – I think the problem has been that his core strengths don’t suit our primary style of play. He still has quality – his goals probably kept Swansea up last season. He’s the type of player who needs the team to be built around him (or to be central to the teams play) and this has been the case throughout his career. He has had a strong career by the way. He has been valuable wherever he has been; again the case with Swansea he was central to their play and scored 14 goals to keep them up at the ripe old age of 32. He also did not get a genuine run in the team. The weird thing for me this season is that the team saw the back of him the week after he scored a hat-trick in the FA Cup vs Rochdale!
For me the conclusion has to be that Poch has a particular way he likes his teams to play – which I would describe as dynamic (amonst other things), Llorente’s strengths did not particularly suit that play but offered a ‘plan B’ (which was more like a plan C) and Llorente did not get a substantial opportunity to impress (which was difficult given that the teams play would not be completely adapted to suit him – apart from that time he scored a hat-trick). Essentially, a square peg in a role. I hope he moves on to where he can be the main man again.

Lamela didn’t “come into form at the end of the season”. He scored twice and earnt a Leicester own goal in the 38th game of the season but he was abysmal in game 37 and ordinary, at best, prior to that.
Lamela sale helps with Malcolm purchase so could be possible and selling Aurier to allow KWP to be part of the first team makes sense…verdict if we get in Malcolm and or Martial lamela will be sold
I agree that would look nice. If they could buy David Ners and Icardi that would be a blast.

Surely Walker-Peters is a better understudy for Trippier? Aurier is a liability! There isn’t a game where he doesn’t give up at least one chance. He gives away free kicks in bad positions and is always on the verge of getting sent off. Sorry, we can do better.
I don’t believe this rumour regarding Aurier. Aurier is impulsive, has conceded penalties and received cards due to this. However he is whole hearted, two footed and decent going forward. He clearly needs to work on his crossing, his petulance and learn when to make a tackle or stay on his feet. Looking at what Poch has achieved with Ben Davies; a player who never looked comfortable going over the half way line or attempting to make crosses, but is now Spurs third largest contributor with assists, then surely Poch can improve Aurier as he has with just about all the players he has worked with at Spurs.
Lamela and Sissoko are not going to improve and Llorente just hasn’t worked out. These three players all need to leave Spurs in the summer

Aurier can go, as he is never going to be a top class right back in the PL. It was a disaster replacing Walker with this 3rd choice PSG player, and at 26 he really doesn’t have the ‘potential’ (as someone above put it) to improve. Hopefully, KWP and Tripps will be competing for that important position next year. Lamela, I’m convinced, has a damn good player hiding somewhere inside him. In the last game he showed that clinical side, but mostly up to then he was floating like a butterfydobcy and stinging like one. He is worth his spot in the team or on the bench next season, and let’s hope we will see the best of him, because he has a great talent.
I think Wanyama could join Sissoko, Llorente, Aurier, and sadly, Dembele and Toby, as they exit. Rose could stay (I hope) has he seems to have paid his penance for his summer outburst.
I don’t agree on Wanyama leaving because Tottenham has to engines on the field Moussa Dembele which is the first one connecting defence to offensive getting through players all from his position distributing the ball to everyone specifically on the left side. He is the reason that Heung-min Son, Ben Davies or Rose, and sometimes Dele Alli get the ball often. The second engine is Eriksen he does most of the offensive work on the right. The reason why I didn’t put Eric Dier as engine is because his job is to always stop the opposition from getting to the defense to score and I think he does the job pretty well. To me Eriksen is the second engine because he does most of the offensive work on the right. He is mostly comfortable with Trippier because they combine together so that Harry Kane can score a header or gets the ball inside the box to score with a one touch. If you have been watching Tottenham vs Chelsea don’t you see most of the time when Dele Alli scores it is an assist from Eriksen. Dele Alli breaks down the defense by the help of Eriksen.
What i’m trying to say is that Wanyama, Rose,and Toby Alderweild just need a nice moment during the preseason.
If Dembele leaves Wanyama deserves to be the new engine connecting to defense to offensive on the left side. What you fans don’t understand is that if it wasn’t for Dembele we wouldn’t be able to pass the ball well at any game specifically against Juventus. Don’t you see that with Dembele Juventus had difficulty getting through the midfield that was because he knew how to defend well and when passing the ball to offensive players he had no problem doing that so tell me who else after Wanyama can do it just like Dembele. Once again Danny Rose and Alderweild just need a preseason to come back to normal. Next season if they give Rose and Alderweild a chance you will see how good they will play and everyone will regret saywe want to sell Rose or Alderweild.
No offense but I am a Barcelona and Tottenham fan.
