Tottenham are not in talks with Manchester United over the sale of Toby Alderweireld, according to football.london.
Alderweireld is expected to leave Spurs this summer after failing to agree terms on a new contract earlier this year.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the defender, and corners of the media have suggested a deal is close.
However, football.london‘s Alasdair Gold – usually reliable when it comes to all things Tottenham – claims the clubs are not currently in talks over a deal for Alderweireld.
It is believed Mauricio Pochettino has requested the likes of Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele are sold as quickly as possible in order to secure new recruits in time for next season.
Pochettino signed a new five-year deal last month and was apparently promised increased transfer funds to overhaul his squad this summer.
Spurs have been linked with Ajax teenager Matthijs de Ligt as a potential replacement for Alderweireld, but both players don’t appear to be close to a move.
We should have enough funds though.
According to Gazza we’ll sell Harry if we get an 100 million bid!
Is he back on the sauce?
