Harry Kane is far and away Tottenham’s highest-paid player after agreeing terms on a new six-year contract with the club, according to the London Evening Standard.

Spurs announced Kane’s new deal – which will keep at the club until the summer of 2024 – via Twitter on Friday.

The striker has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months, but Tottenham have moved quickly to secure his immediate future before the World Cup.

And according to the Standard, Kane has doubled his previous salary, which was believed to be around £100,000 per week.

That means the 24-year-old is now comfortably the highest earner at the club.

Mauricio Pochettino also signed a new contract last month and is now reportedly the third highest-paid manager in the Premier League behind Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.

As a result, a number of first team players could now seek improved deals as it seems Spurs have altered their wage structure.

It will be interesting to see if the likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli follow the lead of Kane and Pochettino by signing new long-term contracts in the near future.
