A meeting with newly-promoted Fulham had been scheduled to take place at the new stadium on the second weekend of the 2017-18 campaign.
However, Spurs have reached an agreement to move the Fulham game to Wembley stadium, where they played all of their home matches last season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side signed off at the national stadium with a 5-4 win over Leicester City, while Fulham beat Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final at Wembley last month.
Tottenham’s Premier League campaign kicks off against Newcastle United at St James’ Park, the exact same opening fixture as last season, which Spurs won 2-0 thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Ben Davies.
The Londoners will travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in between the Fulham and Liverpool games. Tottenham’s second match at the new stadium will be against Cardiff City in October.
