Former Chelsea captain John Terry has voiced his admiration of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino in an Instagram post.
Terry made over 700 appearances for Spurs’ London rivals Chelsea, captaining the Blues to various major trophies.
And despite being something of a hate figure among Tottenham supporters, Terry has hinted the feeling isn’t mutual.
In a post on Instagram, Terry revealed his intention to read Guillem Balague’s book about the Spurs manager.
The 37-year-old, who left Aston Villa at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, labelled the Tottenham boss “brilliant” in the post.
Pochettino has been with Spurs for four years after leaving Southampton for north London in the summer of 2014.
He is yet to win a trophy at the club, but the Argentinian has led Tottenham to three consecutive top-three finishes in the Premier League.
Real Madrid had reportedly made Pochettino their number one candidate to succeed Zinedine Zidane before appointing Julen Lopetegui earlier this week.
Regarldess of Pochettino’s lack of silverware as a manager, Terry clearly has a lot of time for the former Espanyol coach.
