Mousa Dembele has said he won’t join another English club if he leaves Tottenham this summer but has refused to rule out a move to China or America.
The midfielder, who has just one year left on his current contract, has been heavily linked with the exit door at Spurs, with Italy and China mooted as the most likely desinations.
Inter Milan are said to be chief among Dembele’s sutiors, and reports suggest talks may have already taken place between Tottenham and the Serie A giants.
But Dembele has admitted to speaking with some of his Belgium teammates who play in the Chinese Super League and the MLS.
That’s according to journalist Kristof Terreur, who has relayed information from an interview with Dembele in Belgian outlet HLN Sport.
? Mousa Dembélé in @hlnsport:
“I won’t say that I’m leaving Spurs right now. Or that I’m staying. If I leave, I won’t join another English club. Tottenham is my team.”

“I won’t say that I’m leaving Spurs right now. Or that I’m staying. If I leave, I won’t join another English club. Tottenham is my team,” Dembele said.
Terreur also notes Dembele has talked about China with Axel Witsel and Yannick Carrasco, and America with Laurent Ciman.
I don’t think there was any risk of Spurs selling Dembele to a Premier League rival, but the supporters will be glad to receive confirmation of that.
An exit certainly seems likely unless Tottenham and Dembele can come to some sort of agreement over a new deal.
