Inter Milan are considering a move for Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko before the transfer window closes next week, according to reports in Italy.

Sissoko arrived at Spurs in the summer of 2016 but has endured a difficult two seasons in north London, struggling to cement a place in the startling line-up and failing to impress in cameo performances.

However, Mauricio Pochettino seems to value Sissoko as a useful member of the first-team squad, and there hasn’t been much speculation about a potential summer exit.

Until now. Italian outlet Tuttosport (via passioneinter.com) claims Inter Milan are keen on signing Sissoko before the Premier League’s August 9th transfer deadline.

Inter have been linked with another Tottenham midfielder, Mousa Dembele, for most of the summer but those rumours have gone quiet in recent weeks.

Spurs will reportedly listen to offers for Dembele – as well as Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose – in the next few days, but it may be too late for the Belgian to secure a move.

A lack of signings at Tottenham may force the club to keep hold of Sissoko, regardless of whether Inter come in with a late bid.
