St Etienne have cooled their interest in Tottenham winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, according to reports in Frane.

N’Koudou joined Tottenham from Marseille in the summer of 2016 but has struggled to break into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans.

He has made just nine Premier League appearances for Spurs and spent the second half of last season on loan at Burnley, where he played just eight times.

The 23-year-old failed to secure a move to another English club during the Premier League’s transfer window, but there is still time for him to move abroad before the European deadline on August 31st.

Ligue 1 side St Etienne have been linked with a move for N’Koudou. However, according to French outlet Le Progres (via Tribal Football), they have now cooled their interest.

The report claims St Etienne manager Jean-Louis Gasset is close with Mauricio Pochettino, which initially increased the chances of a deal being done.

But it is now believed St Etienne are focusing on other targets, meaning N’Koudou could end up sitting on Tottenham’s bench for at least another few months until the January transfer window opens.
