Marcus Edwards was on the scoresheet as Tottenham’s Under-23s side drew 1-1 with Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League 2 on Friday night.
Spurs went 1-0 down in the 14th minute but Edwards was on hand to equalise ten minutes later with a brilliant individual effort.
The 19-year-old’s future with the club is in doubt after a turbulent loan spell at Norwich City last season, during which he didn’t make a single first-team appearance.
His attitude has been questioned in the past, but his goal against Liverpool is more evidence of his huge potential. Watch the goal below.
This video doesn’t play for me (I’m in Florida). Bummer.
Where in Fl are you mate?
That control and pass was great. Edwards first touch was crap and made harder work than it needed to be.
Troy Parrott control in taking down the high pass is such a beauty!!!
Good dribble and placement by Edwards.
got to give this boy a chance already lost Griffiths don’t make the same mistake with this lad poch said it’s a new start for everyone let’s hope he’s true to his word
He is left footed so controlled a difficult pass that way which took him inside a bit. He still took on his man and scored right footed
Parrot to Edwards! Dangerous combo
