Marseille have joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Danny Rose before the end of the month, according to the Mirror.
Rose has been linked with a move to PSG in recent days with Tottenham still apparently willing to let the defender leave before the European transfer window closes on August 31st.
Having lost his place in the side to Ben Davies last season, Rose has been expected to leave Spurs all summer but failed to secure a move to another English club before the Premier League’s August 9th deadline.
Potential moves to Manchester United and Everton have been mooted ever since Rose gave a controversial interview last August in which he criticised Tottenham’s wage structure and transfer policy.
But it now looks as if the 28-year-old will leave for a foreign club if he does depart from Spurs this month.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel refused to rule out a move for Rose last week while admitting he recognises the left-back’s quality. And the Mirror claims PSG’s Ligue 1 rivals Marseille are now also keen.
There isn’t long left now for a deal to be done, but it’s impossible to rule anything out.
