The draw for the Champions League group stage takes place today, Thursday August 30th at 5pm. Tottenham are in Pot 2 after finishing third in the Premier League last season.
In the same pot are: Borussia Dortmund, FC Porto, Manchester United, Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica, Napoli and Roma. That means Spurs cannot be drawn against any of those teams.
And, of course, Tottenham obviously cannot be drawn against the other English clubs: Manchester City and Liverpool.
CONFIRMED: Champions League group-stage draw pots.

So let’s have a look at Spurs’ hardest potential group, which arguably looks like this:
(Pot 1) Real Madrid, (2) Tottenham, (3) Monaco, (4) Inter Milan.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain are also in Pot 1, while Valencia (Pot 3) could put up a similar challenge to Monaco.
Remember, though, Valencia cannot be drawn in the same group as Real Madrid or Barcelona with them all being Spanish.
As for Spurs’ easiest potential group:
(Pot 1) Lokomotiv Moscow, (2) Tottenham, (3) Ajax, (4) AEK Athens.
The likes of Young Boys and Red Star Belgrade could also be considered “easy” Pot 4 opponents.
