Neymar has predicted Tottenham will finish fourth in the Premier League behind Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, and ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal.
Spurs finished third in the English top-flight last season, their third successive top three finish under Mauricio Pochettino.
But Neymar believes they will slip to fourth this season at the expense of Chelsea, who finished outside of the Champions League places in fifth last season.
Speaking exclusively to the Express, the Paris Saint-Germain forward revealed he thinks Tottenham will once again come above last season’s fourth-place team Liverpool.
Asked who will win the Premier League, Neymar said: “It’s very hard, it’s very difficult, but Manchester City will win it. Second will be United, third is Chelsea. Fourth is Tottenham.”
Neymar’s prediction comes as a bit of surprise given the current fanfare around Liverpool, who have won their opening four matches and are expected to be the main challengers to Manchester City’s crown.
But his guesses aren’t massively farfetched. City and United finished in first and second place respectively last year, while Chelsea have clearly improved upon the previous campaign.
The top-six are extremely unpredictable this season, so they could end up finishing in any order.
