Harry Kane put in a performance of the highest quality for England against Spain in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night – even if he didn’t score.

The Tottenham striker has now gone seven internationals without a goal, but he provided two excellent assists and played a part in England’s first goal as the Three Lions eased to a 3-0 half-time lead.

Indeed, Kane produced three brilliant moments:

1. His pass in the build-up to Raheem Sterling’s opener.

2. His hold-up play and through-ball for Marcus Rashford’s goal.

3. His run in behind and cut-back for Sterling’s second.

The 25-year-old continues to prove he is more than just goals.

  1. Pretty sad- He is not about goals at all. He is so far off form and fitness that he participates about 15-20 minutes per game. I am afraid he has wrapped himself in some “Captain England” fantasy and has deserted Spurs – for whom he has not played a decent game this season.
