Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were involved in a heated debate about Tottenham during Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football broadcast.
Following Spurs’ 1-0 defeat to champions Manchester City, the pundits discussed Tottenham’s definition of achievement.
Carragher accused the Londoners of not trying to the win the Premier League and being happy with the top four, insisting the club will not win titles unless they spend more.
Neville pointed to the fact Spurs have grown a spine under Mauricio Pochettino and suggested they shouldn’t be criticised, but Carragher reiterated that Pochettino should be backed financially to reach the next level.

"Tottenham for 30 years of our lives were spineless and soft, flaky, rubbish, you could be 2-0 down against them and think you would win 5-2."
Do #THFC lack ambition?
