Ledley King’s goal for Tottenham against Bradford City in December 2000 has finally been confirmed as the fastest goal in Premier League history.
Up until now, there had been no way to measure the exact amount of time it took King to put the ball in the net.
But thanks to TAG Heuer and the Premier League, King’s goal has been timed at exactly 9.82 seconds, which is faster than his two closest competitors.
Those competitors are Christian Eriksen’s strike against Manchester United in January this year, and an Alan Shearer goal for Newcastle United against Manchester City from January 2003.
Watch King discover he is the record holder below.
