Danny Rose, Davinson Sanchez and Kieran Trippier will all miss Tottenham’s clash with Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend, the club has confirmed.

However, Jan Vertonghen has returned to full training and is in contention to start the London derby on Saturday.

The Belgian has missed the last few weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in Spurs’ league win over Huddersfield Town.

He hadn’t been expected to return until December, but Mauricio Pochettino will be able call on the centre-back against Chelsea.

That’s good news considering Sanchez’s injury. The Colombian has a hamstring problem that could rule him out until the new year.

Rose is close to a return to full training following a groin injury, while Trippier should be back with the group by the end of the month.

As it stands, it looks like Pochettino will be forced to go with a back four of Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Ben Davies this weekend.

Mousa Dembele is also still sidelined with an ankle problem that should keep him out until January.
