Tottenham are keeping tabs on Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke, according to the Daily Mail.

Clarke has mostly been used from the bench this season but made his first Championship start against Derby County last week, providing an assist and playing a part in the second goal as Leeds won 2-0.

The Mail claims Spurs and Manchester City are monitoring Clarke’s situation as Leeds stall on offering the 18-year-old a new contract.

His current deal expires in the summer of 2021. An extension has been mooted but talks are yet to happen, which could trigger further interest from top Premier League clubs.

Clarke plays as a winger and has scored two goals this term, including an excellent solo goal against Aston Villa.

Tottenham are well stocked in the wide attacking positions, although Harry Kane’s injury and Son Heung-min’s absence have increased the need for new forwards.

Barcelona winger Malcom has been linked with a move to Spurs again, but the Londoners might be tempted to look at a young English player with potential to develop.
