Moussa Sissoko has been ruled out for two weeks and will miss the second leg of Tottenham’s EFL Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
The midfielder limped off with a groin problem moments before Manchester United’s winning goal in a 1-0 Premier League league at Wembley last weekend.
Initial reports suggested Sissoko could miss up to a month of action, but Spurs have now confirmed he will be out for a fortnight.

That means the Frenchman will miss the EFL Cup trip to Stamford Bridge as well as Premier League games against Fulham, Crystal Palace, Watford and possibly his former club Newcastle United.
Sissoko has been a key part of the Tottenham team this season, starting the majority of games and changing negative opinions into positive ones with a string of fine displays.
He is the latest in a long list of names to suffer injuries for Spurs this season. Harry Kane is currently sidelined with an ankle problem, while Lucas Moura will miss the Fulham match with a knee injury.
In more positive news, Eric Dier is fit enough to make the bench at Craven Cottage, giving Mauricio Pochettino more to work with midfield.
