Tottenham face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Wembley.
With the injuries piling up once again, Mauricio Pochettino has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.
Spurs will be without Harry Kane (ankle), Lucas Moura (knee) and Son Heung-min (Asian Cup), making Fernando Llorente the only available centre forward in the squad.
However, Pochettino could opt against playing a recognised striker, instead going with a fluid front three of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Dele Alli – similar to the trio of Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian we have seen Chelsea experiment with in recent games.
Moussa Sissoko is out and Eric Dier is only fit enough to make the bench, so Pochettino may switch to a back three to give a youthful midfield partnership of Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp more defensive support.
Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose will provide plenty of attacking width on the flanks, and Pochettino will be able to turn to Llorente from the bench if needed.
Here’s our predicted line-up to face Fulham – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.
I would play Foyth instead of Sanchez, as he has more midfield (Dier with flare) skills, that we should use against a proven weak defence, freeing up winks to be more adventurous and creative. And play Llorente instead of Skipp, as well as Walker-Peters instead of Trippier as I feel he has more of the skills needed to cope with Sessegnon.
Please do not play Tripper. He is useless. Sell him. He does not know how to carry a football going forward. He can’t even dribble. He does not like to be under pressure from opposition and that is not going to happen. He slows the game and keeps passing the ball backwards. Poch its strange how you can field a player of is caliber.
I think this can work as long as Rose and Tripier knows there duties to cover defence as quickly as possible.
I think Foyth would be a better defensive midfielder than he is a central defender. Poch could convert him in the same way he converted Dier. That way, I would agree with the lineup but use Foyth in place of Skipp. The latter should be on the bench along with Gazzaniga, Davies, Walker-Peters, Dier and, if he’s fit, Moura.
When is Parrott, going to get a chance ?
Just play the same way as we did against Man Utd in the second half. With either a youngster or Llorente playing instead of Kane.
I don’t have much faith in Lloris, Trippier or Winks unfortunately. I’d like to see additions made in central midfield and obviously a striker. Ndombele, Malcom, Chillwell and Werner please Daniel. It’s the perfect time to challenge for next seasons title and cement a top four this.

We could call our team “Running on a Prayer”. How will we rotate and field impact subs in Jan is anyone’s guess. Against Fullham, here goes –
1. Dembele (great player – wish he formally retired from EPL and had a send off) is sold to China, Wanyama out, Dier barely making bench, Sissoko out – DM consists of Foyth (try him out – he can be better than Dier) and Winks (playing more forward). Keep Skipp on bench – one for the future for sure. What is happening to Tashan Oakley-Boothe ?
2. Play Aurier ahead of Trippier. I disagree Trippier is no good, but agree he has been no good for the last few matches. He needs time off to find himself. Play KwP ahead of Davies. Sanchez and Toby in defence.
3. Sen, Alli and Lamella are the only 3 fit AMs (we pretty much have nothing in reserve left), hopefully Moura on the bench. Paris Maghoma on the bench anyone ?
4. Llorente (no other options) with Troy Parrot starting on bench (as Janssen is out of favour and there are no other strikers).
