Tottenham will go head-to-head with Manchester United in a battle to sign PSV Eindhoven starlet Steven Bergwijn, according to the Sun.
Bergwijn has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season and is considered one of the brightest young talents in the Netherlands.
The 21-year-old played against Spurs in the Champions League group stages during the first half of the season, and if reports are to be believed he could be lining up for the Londoners in the future.
According to the Sun, Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bergwijn, who has played three times for the senior Holland national team.
It is believed the winger is valued at just £25 million by PSV, a steal in today’s market, particularly for a player as talented as Bergwijn.
Manchester United may have the upper hand in terms of the salary they will able to offer, but Spurs are in a better position in the table and, right now, look more likely to seal a place in next season’s Champions League.
